Like everyone I am a big food lover but, I get crazy when it comes to food. I tend to try everything when I am at a restaurant. I did the same last winter when I went to New York for my winter holidays where I was joined by my dad who also came to New York for a conference only for 3 days. We had a lot of fun for it was my first time in New York. We went to see everything like a crazy Asian tourist we took pictures of everywhere we went the Statue of liberty, Empire state building, Times Square, Central Park, 5th Avenue and more places than I can remember. After a long hectic day we planned to top the day off by eating at the celebrity chef Gordan Ramsey's restaurant the Maze Bar & Grill at The London on 151 West 54th street.
We went inside and it looked spectacular, the ambiance was extraordinary, the Décor was excellent and after a long hard day it was exactly what we were looking for a Dark and sparkly restaurant with a quiet and soothing environment.
We sat down on a corner table out looking the busy and happening streets of New York. We looked at the menu and everything looked fabulous. We were confused what to order because everything looked delicious and we also had to look for halal items and there were non as I had already imagined so we moved onto the sea food menu. I am not a big lover of fish but, we had to order something so I ordered fish and chips, my dad ordered shrimp pasta and my brother had smoked salmon. After listening to jazz for about 15 minutes the food arrived. We were so hungry that we immediately dug in and I have to say it was spectacular and super delicious the food was perfectly cooked. My knife went through the fish like it was hot butter. We cleaned the plates so well that the dishwasher would be thanking us. For desert we had the chocolate and caramel lava cake which tasted heavenly and was done exquisitely.
Gordan Ramsey surely did live up to his name as everything was delicious, the atmosphere was soothing and the place looked like only presidents have dinner here. The prices were not so bad either it was totally affordable like every dish was between $20-30. So my dad paid the bill, we said goodbye to our lovely waitress left a generous 20% tip for her excellent service and went out in the streets of concrete jungle trying to find a cab.

Argo Movie review
This October I was given an assignment for my English ESL 100 class to watch a movie in the Chicago film festival which features several movies from around the world. The film festival is a great opportunity for young and upcoming filmmakers to display their talents in front of an international audience.
Therefore, on the weekend I went to see "Argo". A movie based on a true story. The thing that attracted me the most was that Ben Affleck was starring and directing the movie. Ben Affleck is one of my favorite actors and he is also an excellent writer director. He also won an Oscar along with his best friend and actor Matt Damon for writing the story and screenplay for Good Will Hunting. He has also directed movie like The Town, Gone baby Gone and Argo which are a very well excepted by the audience and the critics. The producers for this movie were Ben Affleck and George Clooney another Oscar winner and one of my favorite actors this also drove me towards this movie.
The movie is about the super critical problem that occurred on November 4th 1979 in Iran when the hostiles took over the American Embassy in retaliation to the deposition of the Shah of Iran. The extremists took 50 hostages in the Embassy. However, six of the hostages were able to escape from them and hid in the Canadian Ambassador Ken Taylor's house. In order to solve this issue Tony Mendez ( Ben Affleck) was called who was a CIA operative. At first he refused to help but while watching planet of the apes with his son he got an idea to bring those six hostages back home safely. He planned to stage a fake sci-fi movie in order to get them out. He met with a Hollywood make-up artist John Chambers who had previously helped CIA with disguises for their operations and discussed his situation. So with a fake crew and a fake movie he went out to Iran to safe those hostages. Tony Mendez ( Ben Affleck) gave them fake Canadian passports and ID's to keep their original identities hidden and made them part of their crew. After a few hurdles in the way he successfully got them out on a Swissair flight along with the Ambassador while the Iranian police unsuccessfully chased the plane.
It was a real thriller, watch it and you will love it or your money back not from me from the studio. The cast was very experienced with very good acting background. Ben Affleck was as usual the highlight of the movie but, this time I acknowledged him even more for he did a beautiful job on directing the film. I couldn't find one loophole in his direction it was done with no flaws whatsoever. This movie is already creating an Oscar buzz and it is one of the favorites of the season. But, the year is still young and there a couple of movie coming out with A list directors like Quentin Tarantino and Baz Luhrman. I guess we will have to wait and see who takes the statue but, Argo is right up there with its great cast, exceptional direction and a strong story.

Peace!
If we see the world today it is divided between Violence and Peace. Everybody in this world is fighting for one thing or another and they are doing this by cutting throats of people some literally and some figuratively. Everyone in this world has become so violent and they don't spare anyone if they come in their way. Forgiving someone for people nowadays is like doing the worst possible thing a human being can do to another.
And in my eyes Peace is the best thing that can happen to a person or to the whole universe because it will unite people together and everybody will get along, there will be no cutting of throats, there will be no injustice and there will be no crime. But, some people in this world just cannot stand to see that happen and become reality.
Everyday, in my country Pakistan peace is being slapped in the face many times. Every peace law that is written in the history by U.S or any other country for that matter is being broken every time that plane drops that bomb on the innocent people of Pakistan.
Some facts and figures of this open manslaughter are a total of 347 strikes of which 40-45 are in 2012 and the people who have died are a total of 3341 from which 884 have been civilians and 176 have been children and these are the numbers who have been reported by the media which I think are underestimated.
When that plane comes into our border breaking the international law, then striking down
and killing 10 people per strike of which 9.2 people as reported are innocent. This action by the U.S is not lowering the number of people who are said to be terrorists but it is actually increasing it. Because you see, every time a child gets killed or a family gets killed the father of that child or the guardian who has lost everything will become an enemy of the U.S. What will you do if you were in his shoes? If you have lost everything in this world your family, your house, your life and due to no fault of your own what will you do?
So every time someone gets killed instead of removing an enemy which they think they are they create a dozen new ones. And my country is trying its very best to keep the peace for so long and they have been marching in protest and they have been giving them relief but, what will they promise to those people who have lost everything and yet it happens again 5 times a month.
Only if we could stop this injustice and do something about it we would have a lot of peace in the world. And there is injustice everywhere not only in Pakistan but, Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Somalia, burma and the list goes on. If you see and try to understand the thing that is common is that the Muslims have been killed everywhere. So this discrimination has to be put on a leash and somebody has to do something about it. Let us live in peace.

My Precious Object
It was a very hot day 28th of July it was a wednesday, obviously
it was summer vacations so I was sleeping instead of going to
school. My dad came and woke me up I was in a deep sleep because
I had played cricket all night and with my friends and I was
tired. He shook me and asked me to wake up I was a little
hesitant at first but I just hit me that why is my dad home at 11
in the morning on my birthday trying to wake me up. In my
catastrophic condition I realized that this may be the time for
my gift because usually I get it after 12 am. Dad blind folded me
took me outside in our garage. He took the blindfold off and
there it was a shiny new car with alloy rims and our usual 9900
number on. I hugged my dad so tightly that maybe I never had done
before. He kissed me and wished me happy birthday, he gave me the
keys and even though it is totally illegal he asked me to take
him out for a spin but I didn't matter because I had been driving
since the age of 12. I drove the all around my street. That was
probably the best gift I had ever gotten and that is my precious
object.

My "On Writing" Reflection
I think that writing is the best profound experience. It allows
you to express yourself that you cannot even do with speaking.
Writing really allows yourself deep with the reader a really show
your emotion, your sorrow, your joy etc.
Writing for me has been really fun until now and I hope that it
continues the same way. This hybrid class has been one of the
major writing experiences for me and I have really learned a lot
from it.
